Significance of maternal hemogram parameters as new inflammatory markers for prediction of threatened preterm labor and preterm premature rupture of membranes

Background: Non-invasive, inexpensive and easily available simple markers are needed for timely prediction of preterm labor premature rupture membranes (PPROM) in women at risk. Aims objectives current study was to the significance maternal hemogram parameters i.e., NLR, PLR, MPV, PDW plateletcrit TPL, PPROM. Methods: A total number 150 pregnant women, 50 with PPROM (group 1), TPL 2) gestation matched healthy controls 3) attending antenatal clinic room SVBP Hospital associated LLRM Medical College, Meerut were recruited study. Complete blood count done from sample collected EDTA vials using 5-part automated cell analyzer device. Hematological like measured CBC. Results: Patients had increased PWD than patients threatened group control group. Conclusions: PDW, Plateletcrit significantly both compared have a predictive value TPL. Monitoring these can be promising cost-effective methods
